Village Codes

To enforce New York State Building Codes, as well as enforcement of Village Ordinances.  If you are planning on doing any work on your home, please check to see if a building permit is needed.  Permits are needed for additions, sheds, swimming pools-above or in-ground, porches, decks, fences, garages and other projects.  If you are doing work without a permit the Codes Enforcement Officer has the authority to place a “Stop Work Order” on your project which will prevent you from continuing the project until the proper paperwork is completed and permits issued. Demolition permits are needed if you plan on removing a building, garage, shed etc. Contact Codes Enforcement Officer John Constas or Tim Carey for further information.

Construction inspections, fire investigations, wood burning appliance inspections, demolition project inspections.
