New York Millis is being proactive and declaring a Snow Emergency that will go into effect tonight, March 11th at 10:00PM. To facilitate safe passage for snow removal and emergency services, all vehicles must be removed from Village streets by 10PM on Friday March 11th with no exceptions. Any vehicles left on Village Streets after 10PM on March 11th are subject to ticketing and towing at the owner’s expense. This Snow Emergency will remain in effect until further notice.

New York Millis is being proactive and declaring a Snow Emergency that will go into effect tonight, February 24th at 10:00PM. To facilitate safe passage3 for snow remover and emergency services, all vehicles must be removed from Village streets by 10PM on Thursday February 24th with no exceptions. Any vehicles left on Village Streets after 10PM on February 24th are subject to ticketing and towing at the owner’s expense. This Snow Emergency will remain in effect until Saturday February 26th at 9:00AM.

ELM STREET STORM SEWER
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Elm Street Storm Sewer Project will be received by the Village of New York Mills, at the office of the Village Clerk, Village of New York Mills, 1 Maple Street (Municipal Building), New York Mills, NY until 2 pm local time on March 8, 2022, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read.
The Project involves the construction of approximately 850 feet of storm conduit ranging in size from 30 inch to12 inch pipe, and appurtenant work The work is located on Elm Street and Main Street in the Village of New York Mills, Oneida County.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is:Village Clerk, Village of New York Mills, 1 Maple Street, NY 13417 (315-736-9212, clerk@nymills.com). Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:30 am and 3:30 pm, and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.
Bidding Documents also may be examined at the Mohawk Valley Builder’s Exchange, 10 Main Street, Whitesboro, NY and Dodge Reports, 231 Salina Meadows Parkway, Suite 130, Syracuse, NY.
Printed copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office, during the hours indicated above, upon payment of a deposit of $ 100 for each set. Bidders who return full sets of the Bidding Documents in good condition (suitable for re-use) within 30 days after receipt of Bids will receive a full refund. Non-Bidders, and Bidders who obtain more than one set of the Bidding Documents, will receive a refund of $50 for documents returned in good condition within the time limit indicated above. Checks for Bidding Documents shall be payable to “Village of New York Mills”. Upon request and receipt of the document deposit indicated above plus a separate non-refundable check payable to “Village of New York Mills” for shipping charges, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The shipping charge amount will depend on the shipping method selected by the prospective Bidder. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 10 am, local time on March 1, 2022 at the offices of the Village of New York Mills, 1 Maple Street (Municipal Building), New York Mills, NY . Attendance at the pre-bid conference is highly encouraged but is not mandatory.
The Village of New York Mills reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to reject any or all Bids.
The Village encourages the participation of M/WBE and Section 3 businesses.
Attention of Bidders is particularly called to requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and prevailing wage rates to be paid under the Contract.
No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof.
The Village of New York Mills shall not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, creed (religion), color, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, military status, age, disability, predisposing genetic characteristic, marital status or domestic violence victim status, and shall also follow the requirements of the Human Rights Law with regard to non-discrimination on the basis of prior criminal conviction and prior arrest.
